6 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Relax as you are guided through a restful meditation on a poem. A reflective prompt will be provided, and participants will take time to journal and consider what the poem awakens in them. Integrated with this will be demonstrations of watercolor techniques. Participants will create a unique negative painting in several layers. Enjoy decompressing, painting, and creating community together!

Relax as you are guided through a restful meditation on a poem. A reflective prompt will be provided, and participants will take time to journal and consider what the poem awakens in them. Integrated with this will be demonstrations of watercolor techniques. Participants will create a unique negative painting in several layers. Finally, there will be an open studio time from 2-4 p.m. in which participants can work on projects that they bring with them, or create new artworks using the provided materials.

The retreat begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday, breaks for noon prayers and lunch, and then continues in the creative experience in the afternoon ending around 4 p.m.

Put down your phone, pick up a needle, and give yourself permission to slow down. In this embroidery class with Lauren Bleam of Awake Arts, you'll move at the pace of your hands — no rushing, no scrolling, just thread and intention.

You'll learn essential stitches alongside a few more intricate ones, building confidence stitch by stitch. All supplies are included — just bring yourself.
